We invite applications for two long term postdoctoral researcher positions in the Research Training Group RTG 2575 Rethinking Quantum Field Theory which was recently funded by the German Research Foundation. The positions will start in October 2020 and shall run for four years each.

• 4-Year Postdoctoral Position in Scattering Amplitudes and Gravitational Waves
  
  We are looking for an experienced postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in modern techniques of scattering amplitude and/or applications of effective field theory techniques to the two-body problem in General Relativity with a keen interest in an emerging crossover research area. The successful candidate will innovate calculations in post-Newtonian and post-Minkowskian approximations for binaries of compact objects. Besides working on this project, she/he will have the chance to develop her/his own independent research program. The position will be hosted by the groups of Jan Plefka at Humboldt University Berlin and Alessandra Buonanno at the MPI for Gravitational Physics.
   
• 4-Year Postdoctoral Position in Lattice Field Theory and AdS Strings
  
  We are looking for an experienced postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in theoretical aspects of Quantum Field Theories discretized on the lattice, a track record in numerical simulations, and an interest in developing innovative techniques in a crossover research area.  The successful candidate will work on the theory and simulations of the AdS superstring worldsheet model on the lattice. Besides working on this project, she/he will have the chance to develop her/his own independent research programme. The position will be hosted by the groups of Valentina Forini (City University London and HU Berlin ) and Agostino Patella (HU Berlin).
